Help do not know what cake is too?

Recently I was at a wedding and had a wedding cake of cupcakes. The one I chose seemed red velvet, but I had a raspberry flavor. So it was like a cake tasting raspberry red velvet. Could anyone tell me what kind of cake is? Or if you have a recipe for could you tell me? Thanks:) I forgot to mention that he was in bits and raspberry
